Fram Museum

What is the time and distance from the Radisson SAS Hotel and the Fram museum?We fly into Oslo at noon. Would we have time in the afternoon to visit the museum? Thanks.

The Fram Museum is on Bygdø. You can get there by boat (#91, from the pier next to the City Hall) or by bus (#30). It's not that far, Oslo isn't all that large, but the travel time would depend on when you go and which mode of transportation you prefer.
The museum is open until 5 pm in May, so depending on when you get in, and to which airport, it might be just a bit too close.
Why not try for instance Vigelandsparken (Frognerparken) instead? It doesn't close and is absolutely worth an afternoon!

Gustav Vigeland, 1867-1943 If I have one more chance to visit Oslo again, I would definitely make a trip to the Vigeland Sculpture Park. Why? Let's just say that the beautiful, sprawling park with 192 sculptures with more than 600 figures appealed to the inner artist in me. All the figures are modeled in full size by the sculptor , Gustav Vigeland and they were so life-like that they took my breath away ! Here's my quick guide to the beautiful park.

See the Harbour, I am sure there are many better places but I only spent 2 days there and didn't get too much opportunity to see anywhere else. Fondest Memory it must be the scenery,, breathtaking views and the sunrise and sunset were really something....

It has information for visually handicapped, hearing impaired, allergy sticken and people with mobility impairment. Great service!

The weather wasn´t that nice and it wasn´t completely clear, but you can always hope that it will be better when YOU are there. ;-))

The polar expedition vessel 'Fram' - it was built in 1892 and was used by Fridtjof Nansen for his drift with the ice over the Artic Ocean, by Nansen´s former second-in command Otto Sverdrup on an expedition to the areas north-west of Greenland discovering more than 200.000 square kilometres of new territory, and by Roald Amundsen on his expedition to the South Pole.
