Have to agree with the previous reviews. This is an excellent hotel with a great location. The first room we got had a bit of a smell but we got changed to a room that had been renovated, an Ocean style room which was very nice. It's an ideal location for walking around this compact city and is only a few minutes from the Royal Palace. The National Theatre train station is nearby and the SAS bus goes from outside the hotel to the airport which is really useful. The cocktail bar upstairs has an excellent view of the city and is quite reasonable considering Oslo is very expensive. For some reason there are no bottle openers in the rooms and when we asked for one we could only have it 5 mins, just a small quirk on an otherwise excellent stay.

Great hotel, stayed there for 2 nights in Nov 05. location is +++, near the royal palace (1min) the main street Karl johans(5min), the national theatre (5min) and up to the north of the hotel(5min) is another shopping street with more designers shops.
I can say I had a room with a view,the higher your floor the nicer your room )view wise).
staff are very friendly and very useful. room is clean and tidy, room service are quick and efficient. the buffet breakfest is great. many seledtion to chose from (4-5 tables, cheese, egg,sausegeand bacon..., cold meat, ham, and fish???, fruits, yaugert,...) and it's free.
Best place is the bar at the top floor of the hotel ( normal price for oslo,2 drinks 150 nok), view is great, lots of locals go therre over the week-end
Best place to book for the hotel is the radisson website directly, I got my room for 900NOK(£78) while everywhere else , it was about £130+
if you are flying to the main airport there is a bus shuttle, if you're flying to torp airport with ryanair( about 140 min from oslo), there is a bus service, leaves 30 min after flight arrival, goes to central bus station (near radisson plaza), it costs 230nok return, and a taxi will cost around 100nok to the hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel if you're going to OSlo on a vacation(don't know about bussiness location but I think it should be a good location as well as it's central)
Very pleasant stay

I stayed in this hotel on a business trip and was extremely impressed. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The location is excellent, both for tourists and business travellers. Only a couple of minutes walk from the Royal Palace, and 10 minutes walk from the waterfront where some of the best restaurants are. Breakfast is certainly above average - a huge selection of cereals, pastries, meats, cheeses, bread, juices and cooked breakfast.
Really excellent overall impression - would definitely stay again, and would recommend to all.

Vast, train-station like establishment. My experience was not good. Check-in agonisingly slow. Business class room not very much different from standard room, but charged at a premium. Promised daily newspaper, bath-robe and a number of other advtanges did not appear. Only one very small, disappointing restaurant open. No evidence of service at any level. Not a recommendable hotel for the business traveller.
