This hotel is located right at the city center and is directly connected to the Oslo Central Station so you don't even have to get out of the station to go to the hotel.
The rooms are quite nice for a 3 star hotel, especially the Club ones - and are furnished in Scandinavian modern style.
Breakfast is a buffet in the restaurant with great view of the square in front of the Central Station.
There are many reasons why I stayed in this hotel, among them, the great location in the centre and next to the central railway station. First because I just like it, 2nd because I'm gaining bonus points on my flight operator ;-) and last, they give special offers to the company I work for.
This hotel is perfect both for business travellers, and holiday makers.
The hotel is located at Byporten shoppingcentre, connected to the Oslo Centralstation with train, buses and airport express train!
A more centrally located hotel is hard to find in Oslo! Just a few steps away from Karl Johan, you have the Oslo City shopping centre and the Byporten shoppingcentre near by!

Scandic were offering cheap pre-paid rates for the summer. You had to book around Easter time. When we say cheap, NOK450 per double room including breakfast. Our Oslo friends couldn't believe it! When we found this out the hotel was the obvious choice. It is right by Oslo Sentral station, so very handy for our early morning train to Stockholm.
The hotel is above the shopping centre next to the station. We were on the top floor, with a great view over the harbour. We were very surprised how quiet the room was despite the location.
Scandic hotels are more than acceptable if you're travelling in the Nordic countries. This one is no exception. Friendly and efficient, it is a bit more business orientated than some of the others. The rooms were comfortable, but fairly standard.
Excellent location for the station and city centre sights.
