Petrol in Norway!
by MikeAtSea
Norway is one of the largest petrol producing nations on earth, one would assume that petrol is relativley cheap. Think again - a litre of petrol set you back over US$ 3 or EUR 2.60 - take this in to consideration when planning a road trip, since fuel is almost double to other countries on earth!
Free WLAN at Oslo S (central railway station)

I discovered this by chance, sitting at the Cafe Opus upstairs. Browsing the available WLANS, most of them were pay-per-use, but one of them, labelled "peppes" was free. However, the signal was very weak, and disconnected every now and then.
The 17th of May is national...
by M1ike2
The 17th of May is national holiday and there parades all over the country. People wear their colorful costumes and you have
king's horsemen starting parade around 9:00 a.m. and you had
different groups of school children in parade in their costumes.
The parade lasts for several hours so it is wise to get a curb
seat. It ends by palace and then food and drinks served. I was impressed with the trip you take by tram to top of
mountain where there is a huge restaurant. You have a
beautiful view of the harbor and sun is still shining at midnite.
Is really impressive
Expensive country
by ginte
Norway is not only a beautiful country, but expensive also. So, don't expect that things will be cheap there especially in Oslo, as it's a capital. Although further from the center it's a little bit cheaper as everywhere.
