Cheap and bad

This hostel on Tollbugaten predominantly has disadvantages except of the location. The hygiene is very poor, the service is of a low quality, the accessibility and the showers are really old and outdated. I wonder how you overnight there for 40 EUR, that's the price in a decent hotel in Rome and the owners do not take care of the facilities.

I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone.

Sentrum Pensjonat

A small hostel with a nice atmosphere located in the centre of Oslo. They are only a 5min walk from the train station and 10min walk from the bus station. There is a big kitchen common room area on the first floor and strange for Scandinavia the price of linen is included!

Hostel sentrum pensjonat

Central location in Oslo and amongst the cheapest alternatives in the city. The neighbourhood isn't the best in Oslo, particularily during the night - but that being sais - most people don't get any problems there, it's more "the view" that's not so pleasing.

Unique Quality: The hostel has gotten some good reviews and their cleanliness and the quality of their breakfast are some top qualities other than central location and price.

Dirt cheap in Oslo city centre

I visited, but never stayed. Put up freinds here, too, that were on a budget tour.
Located in the Kvadraturen old part of Oslo city centre, close to the Oslo Central Station, it is the cheapest I know in oslo. Certainly not the most delightful. In fact this is an area of Oslo where you should take some care at night. While the hotel as such is locked up and probably pretty safe and ok, the prowlers on the street may not be the best babies of the bunch.

Unique Quality: Central location, co-located with a cheap breakfast cafe (unbeatable prices).
Various sizes room, with fridge, small kitchenettes etc. available.
Clean beds, linen etc., but otherwise the place is rather unkempt and decidedly run-down.
7 guests of mine staying overnight here in two rooms paid NOK 900 alltogether per night.
