Thon Spectrum, Oslo, Norway - Reviews and Hotel Information

This is a basic three star hotel only five minutes walk from the Central Station. It's good value, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, which more than makes up for the lack of frills. The price includes a reasonable buffet breakfast (different breads, meats, cheeses, eggs, cereal, yoghurt and fruit) which is served in a slightly canteen-like atmosphere - but on our second morning we discovered the small courtyard at the rear and had our breakfast out there, which was much pleasanter.

The street it's on is pedestrianised (although that didn't mean there wasn't a fair amount of noise at night!) and has a number of bars and cafes, but it's really about a ten minute walk from the city centre and most of the action.

There's free internet access in the lobby (although the single PC was in heavy demand).
