I arrived at the Oslo Central...
by Luis_Alberto
I arrived at the Oslo Central Station coming by train from Copenhagen, Denmark. Right in front of the station, is the Karl Johans gate, Avenue, at the other end of the Avenue is the Royal Palace, which was off limits to visitors, since the Royal Family, does reside there. The Karl Johans gate is one of the most famous promenades of Oslo. What called my attention, inmediately after arriving to Oslo, was the cleanliness of the city and its great surroundings. There is plenty to do and see in Oslo, for about three to four days. This is the picture of The Royal Palace built in 1848.

The Fountain
by bpacker
Honestly, the whole existence of Vigelandsparken started off with this fountain. Early in 1907, a blue print of the fountain was drawn out and Gustav Vigeland was commissioned to make the Fountain. However, as time passed, not enough money was raised for the fountain and pissed by waste of time, Vigeland just made sculpture after sculpture. Eventually, these granite sculptures that eventually were placed around the later Monolith... In the center of the basin, six giants hold a really large rice bowl and from it, water is supposed to spill down around them. Unfortuanately when I was there, it was as dry as a bone. But no loss, I enjoyed it all the same.
