  • A good Hostel in Oslo

    by

Haraldsheim Youth Hostel is a member of Hostelling International. It is probely one of the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms a good and cozy. It does the best breakfast I have ever had in a hostel. It also does have a great TV lounge and libary. It does good frozen meal in the evening which are around 20nkr very cheap for Norway. A fit far from the city but well worth it. Take the train to Storo. Turn left and te station then turn left again the hsotel is a 5 min walk from the station.

Unique Quality: Grat view of Oslo and the Oslo Fjord.

Directions: Take train from City centre to Storo. Turn left at the station . Head in the direct of a reb bricked NSB station. Keep walking down the road for 5 mins. You will se a big hill the hostel in on top of that hill.

Ok, this tip is about the hostel, but honestly, I didn't stay there. I was staying ritght at the other side of the highway, in a student residence, Aker Studenthjem, that you can see in the picture.

The hostel seemed to be nice, very close to public transport and in a quite area. There are fields in front of it, to playfootball, or, as it is downhill, going sledging in winter.

Directions: Take tram 17 to Synsekrysset, then go uphill, (not very steep though). I'm sure you'll find it easily.
If you see on your right the building in the picture you're at the right stop ; -))
