Nærland Gjestegard: Close to the ocean and far from city life

There are no hotels in Nærbø sentrum, so you´ll have to go to Nærland (follow the signs towards Nesheim and Njærheim, then Nærland.

The local council actually voted against a hotel because "Here in Nærbø, people sleep in their own homes".....

Unique Quality: It´s close to the ocean, great hiking-areas and beautiful countryside.

Some of the cleanest farms in Norway (and indeed the world) are situated close by.

Nærland used to be a state run institution for the mentally retarded, and has now been converted to other uses: Hotel, Schools (a college and a Rudolph Steiner school) and asylum seeker housing.
