Soulful hotel
Victoria Hotel is listed in three different ways here on VT, but there is only one Victoria in Stavanger! It is a part of the Rica chain as a Rica Partner Hotel. As with all city hotels in Norway, the rooms are cheaper on weekends than on weekdays, and it is cheaper to order via internet. Prices vary from NOK 695 for a single room on weekends to NOK 1445 for a double deluxe on weekdays. On weekends you can have a suite for NOK 995 a day, while the normal (internet) price is 2200.
Victoria is situated by the bay in downtown Stavanger. Tollboden, the old customs building from 1905 which now contains restaurant, bar, conference and performance facilities, is right across the street, and so is mooring for the sightseeing and restaurant boats (pic 5)

It was originally a four story building, built in 1900 of norwegian and danish bricks. It was the first building in Stavanger with an electrical elevator and central heating. A fifth floor was added in 1975, and with later additions the hotel now has 107 rooms. During the last renovation yellow bricks from Holland was used. All rooms are renovated during the last years, and they are all different.
