Brekstad kysthotell: Maybe the only, but for sure the best!

As I am from Brekstad, I have never enjoyed a stay in this hotel, but I have been at several arrangments and dinners at the hotel. It is a very modern hotel, the oldest part was built around 98-99, the newest is still being built this summer. Several of the rooms have a view of the fjord!
The restaurant is quite good, I have been there for the Sunday buffet, which is not very special, but with a wide range of hot dishes, and some good desserts to choose between. Very clean place!
The bar 'Dampen' is really nice, dark furniture and an old style. (They do however show soccer games on big screen TVs!)
The staff there is very friendly, and if you want to experience Ørlandet, you should not be afraid to ask, these people know everything that needs to be known!

Unique Quality: Well, the most important quality of this hotel, is probably that it is about the only hotel at Brekstad!
There used to be another hotel just up the road from this one, but I'm not so sure if they are still open, if it is, you should still choose Kysthotellet, much better!
Its location is very good, right by the harbor, overviewing the fjord, and at the beginning (or end) of the main street at Brekstad. Taxis are right outside the hotel most of the time.
The hotel has many different tours and activities that you can join for a fee, e.g. fishing and sightseeing out on the open ocean, paintball games, tour of the renaissance Austrått manor, tour of the ww2 canon, and much much more!
