Great view
We went here and had a great view, I could even see the tower where we had dinner. It's quite interesting but the fortress is undergoing some restauration so there are fences and stuff disturbign the nice images.

HI! I NEED TO KNOW THE DISTANCE BETWEEN CRUISE PORT AND AIRPORT IN TRODHEIN.
THANKS
The distance from Trondheim cruise port and Trondheim airport Værnes is around 36 km.
Are you looking for advice on how to travel between these two points? Are you traveling on Hurtigruten or another cruise ship?
I WILL BE TAKING A HURTIGRUTEN CRUISE FROM BERGEN TO TRONDHEIM AND FLIGHT TO PUERTO RICO. ACCORDING TO YOUR INFORMATION, I NEED ABOUT TWO HOUR TO GET THE AIRPORT. IS IMPORTANT FOR ME YOUR HELP IN ORDER TO BUY THE AIR TICKETS. IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC ?
BY THE WAY, I WILL BE TRAVELING ON MARCH 2011 WITH TEMPERATURES VERY COLD I NEED INFORMATION ABOUT THE SHOES NEEDED FOR THAT TRIP AND WHERE I CAN BUY IT.
THANKS,
so its the cruise of 11 days that ends in Trondheim !
In that case you have visisted Trondheim already on your 2nd day of the cruise and dont need to see it again when you get out of the ship.
It might be the best to book the transfer through Hurtigruten because:
1) They might be late and then its their problem to rearrange your flights
2) You could take the train from Trondheim to the airport and have to walk about 500 m through the port in order to get there, but its a bit confusing and in Aug. 2009 it was a big area under reconstruction there on the road and no fun to walk.
Buses of Hurtigruten will leave directely from the ship !
Why are you using Capslock, you are kind of shouting :-)
OK, I will give you some advice on shoes.
Today we have minus 16 celsius in Trondheim, and we are in big down jackets and polar shoes....
You should walk/ take a taxi to "Den grønne brygge". It is in Fjordgata no. 42. They will give you all the help you need and they fixes all your shoe problems!

Go to Korsvika, a beautiful green spot by the fjord, situated north-east (10minutes by bike) from the citycentre. Here you can take a bath, sunbath on the laun, barbecue, enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and watch the spectacular sunset.
Look at the statue of the King Olaf Tryggvasson who chose Tromdheim as his capital. He was the first christian king of the Wikings. He has a dove on his hand. At the bottom of the column, there is a small market.
One you see half-naked guys ruunning in their underwear around town in August you can be sure that the new academic year has started. That's just one of the rituals they have for their freshmen.
Another sure sign that the new term at NTNU has started is a traditional maritime race across the river Nidelva in improvised “boats”. That is, teams from each Faculty and Department are building improvised floating objects and their aim is to keep on the water surface for the longest period of time. If they even succeed to reach the other bank of Nidelva than they win.
Not only that the floating objects are unstable (and sometimes don’t float at all), but the teams make ih a hell for other teams by throwing waterbombs and gasbombs that makes this event a really colorful sight on the river that you shouldn’t miss if you happen to be in Trondheim in September.
Warm-Weather Ski-Jumping is not for everyone, and especially not for me... so my tip is aimed at watching this sport, rather than practising it.... watching means that you can do it in summer, too - and maybe it is even mroe ipressive as this very young jumpers jump and land on "slippery plastic" runs...
The Granåsen Ski Jump is the place for it - and it's easily reachable by public bus. Entrance is free, but you better find out with the tourist office when trainings take place.
