Best value in Trondheim?

I lived in this student home for 9 (!) years, and i loved (and still love) it!

Unique Quality: This is a student-run hotel/hostel only open in summer (early June - mid August), as it serves as a student home the rest of the year. The house is the biggest inhabited wooden building in Northern Europe.

The staff is very friendly and Kalle (the cook) prepares a fantastic breakfast. Just never say anything bad to him about Rosenborg (the citys pride - the soccer team)...

You can choose between en-suite rooms or rooms with common baths sleeping 1-4, or a dormitory.

The hotel has a sauna, a carambole table, table tennis and a quiet garden.

It is very close to the city center (5 min walk), picturesque Bakklandet, the Kristiansten fortress with surrounding parkland.

  • Opinion of Price: least expensive
