Olav Lia's Hytter: A little comfort for tired travellers
The house we stayed in was just great. It consisted of a living-room cum kitchen and a double bedroom downstairs, a sleeping area reached by ladder upstairs and a bathroom, plus a verandah, and a beautiful garden with a special place for a bonfire. We only stayed one night in a hurry to reach the fjords but it's a good place for a longer holiday too. Situated on the slope of a hill, it offers great views of the valley below. There is a river, the Fjellgardselva, nearby, where you can both fish and bathe. We spent a nice long evening in the garden accompanied by a white cat with ginger patches, a very sociable creature.
The owner has a few summer cottages to let , so you may choose a different one.
A very pretty house, all in wood, beautifully situated on the slope of a hill, with a lovely sunny garden. Suitable for a family with not too young children, who will enjoy climbing the ladder to their bedroom, playing in the garden, bonfires and bathing in the river.
