Friendliest hotel in Tromsø
Viking Hotel is a small (24 room) independent hotel in the centre of Tromsø. The rooms are a bit on the small side, and fairly basic 3-star standard, but very comfortable. The staff here are exceptionally welcoming, helpful and friendly. We would probably go so far as to say that they were the friendliest hotel staff we have ever come across.
The hotel has a small but comfortable reception with comfy leather sofas and armchairs, and a large flat-screen TV. There is also a tiny bar, and the reception is staffed 24hrs. The breakfast room is small too, but with only 24 rooms there are never that many guests, so this is not a problem. Breakfast itself is the usual nordic buffet, but I think they will do some cooked food if you ask.
On the whole, it is the staff that really make this hotel. We would thoroughly recommend it.
