Larvik: Norways Best SPA Hotel
Eye-catching and transparent, the designer building housing the Farris Bad Spa Hotel is perched on stilts and standing firmly on land, but also metaphorically dipping its feet in the sea.
Even though Farris Bad itself is new, it upholds a distinguished tradition of local bathhouses. The Larvik baths have brought clients, including royalty, from all over the world for fifty years and to this day, visitors can enjoy the health benefits of Farris mineral water.
The scenic waterfront location invites to leisurely strolls along the beach. At Farris Bad guests can also take part in meditation classes, guided walking tours with botanical, geological or meteorological focus, or just relax in the library.
We have been invited too visit this marvellous hotel together with fellow Rotarians.It's great!

Lysko Guesthouse: Absolutely Charming!
We were extremely lucky to find this place! There are very few hotels in Larvik and most are very expensive. Lysko Guesthouse is located in the oldest part of Larvik. Behind the 300 year old merchant building’s façade was a yard with oak tables and benches, statues, and even a wishing well. Our room was charming. It was filled with antiques including a great box bed with paintings on the inside wall of the bed and the outside of the bed. Private bathroom and use of full kitchen.
Highly recommend staying here!

Tanum Gård: Friendliest Place To Stay!
Service here was brilliant. Didn't arrive until 11pm, but our hosts were more than accomodating. Our apartment was beautiful and very clean. Spacious lounge, neat kitchen, 2 bedrooms (master and one with bunk beds) and small but good bathroom.
At Tanum Gård they had both bed and breakfast and apartments. I suggest having one of their breakfasts - it was delicious, I just had bread, jam, cheese and juice, but it was a very nice way to start the day.
Unique Quality: Tanum Gård is fairly large. They have a horse, a large pig, dogs - one will play football (soccer) with you, rabbits and many other animals. The scenery is beautiful - lovely green grass, mountains/hills nearby, very picturesque.
