Camping 'U Michala': Nice camping near primeal forest
We had a wonderful stay here!
The lady who runs it speaks only polish, but that's true of most people here.
Nice clean showers & toilets. There's a place to sit & eat if you have no chars of your own
You can use a washing machine, and rent bikes for a few zloty.
downside: not a lot of shade if it's really hot in summer.
Unique Quality: One of the quitest places i've seen in Europe.

Jawor: Private - room to let
House we staid was next door to one of the huge hotels that chocked the life out of Bialowieza.
The owner was very nice and helpful. We rented two bedrooms ( one with specious bathroom). We had also full usage of the kitchen, back yard picnic table and parking was on premises.
Unique Quality: Rooms were clean and the owner was very accommodating.

Ostoja: Ostoja inside
The Ostoja hotel (see my previous tip for more detail) belongs to the forestry inspectorate and is used by hunting parties and guests of the forestry after they have visited Bialowieza. As they often have drinks and parties in the common living room till late at night, you'd better make sure your room does not adjoin it. However, the living room opens onto a balcony where, being the only visitors there, we could spend the evenings until we were spotted by the mosquitoes.
The picture is of the living-room. Some people may like it - I call it barbarous. That fellow on the floor would have been much happier in the forest there.

Ostoja: A hunting lodge/hotel near Bialowieza
The hotel is situated at Gruszki on the edge of the primeval forest of Bialowieza. The rooms are small but comfortable with a shower ensuite. The place is used by hunters for their gatherings so make sure they have rooms free in advance. There is a kitchen in the basement with all the facilities. When there are more guests, full board is available but what they offered looked very basic for the price. Don't count on shopping nearby. We could get little food and nothing that could be cooked even at the nearest bigger place, Narewka.
To view the house inside, see another of my tips.
Unique Quality: Complete peace and quiet if you visit the place off the hunting season. Pleasant surroundings, closeness to the forest, which unfortunately also means some insects (flies, mosquitoes etc.) House martins' nests under the eaves and a stork's nest on the electric pole next door. Possibility of walks to a less wild part of the forest past the other end of the village.

Bed and Breakfast, Halina Szkuta, Teremiski: B&B at Teremiski
We discovered the place on our way back. Hungry after our stay at the nearby Gruszki, we were passing Teremiski - a village amidst the forest- when we saw the sign B&B and our hearts started to beat faster - there was some food to be had at last. And what food! Home-baked bread of two kinds, home-made sausage, cottage cheese and local honey were all at our disposal. We couldn't believe our luck. And to top it all, the warm reception, the hospitality of a kind we had never met with anywhere else. We bought some of the wonderful bread to take home with us. We were shown the rooms and will certainly stay there in the future.
Unique Quality: The village is situated in the middle of the forest, great opportunities for forest walks. Close to Bialowieza. Fantastic home-made food available, persuade the landlady to provide full board. Very friendly hosts.
The adult children of the hosts speak a little English - phone at weekends when they may be there.

DWOR SOPLICOWO (Soplicowo Mansion): After the old Polish nobility fashion
We didn't stay at this hotel as it was three times more expensive than what were prepared to pay. Plus we DID want to stay with the local people and were not looking for hotel-type facilities in a place like Bialowieza close to the National Park and primeval forest! :-)
But if you need some more luxury then I guess this would be a good choice - it just looks lovely! And the Jankiel's Inn is a part of the Soplicowo complex (see my Restaurant tip).
A double room is at 220 zl ($55) which is probably OK for a hotel with and old Polish nobility ambience :-)
Check their pricing and some room photos here.
