Jan III Sobieski is a luxurious hotel in the center of Warsaw, one mile from the Palace of Culture and Science. It offers elegant rooms, excellent cuisine and recreational facilities.
This 4-star property features well equipped, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with soundproofing, satellite TV and minibars. The apartments also have a living room with a sofa and a desk.
Good rooms and GEAt FREE BREAKFAST!coveniently located to the main railway station-trams-restaurants and the Rail Museum.

I stayed for three nights at the newly opened Hostel Wolna Chata in the leafy suburb of Oliwa in Gdansk. Magda the owner and receptionist is very helpful and although I arrived before the 2pm check in time she allowed me to put my luggage by my bed.
After a day of sightseeing I returned and there is complimentary coffee and tea, a fridge is available to allow the guest to keep their food. Excellent cooking facilties and also available are plates, cups and glasses and pots and pans.
The hostel is very clean, there are two dormitories on the ground floor and smaller rooms upstairs.
As well as the kitchen their is a room with easy chairs to relax and meet new other guests, as well as a garden with a barbeque.
Magda and her staff were always very helpful, complimentary internet and Wi-fi are available. Although located out of the city there is an excellent and cheap (SKM) suburban train to the city centre and main railway station which also links with the other Trojmiasto cities of Sopot and Gdynia.
Oliwa district is an exclusive area of the Trojmisato and itself has a lovely park, cathedral and zoo. There are a couple of local shops near to the hostel.
At the front of the hostel is a plum tree.
Magda serves an excellent breakfast which consists of cereals, tea/coffee and a cheese/tomato and cumcumber spread as well as rolls with butter, cream cheese and jams
After driving back and forward with the problems we had with the appartment we booked (see warnings). We decided not to look further and just book into the Campanile hotel for the three nights in Warsaw.
Unique???? I can only say I will NEVER have dinner in this hotel again - it was absolutely the worse meal I have ever had. We ordered the Wiener snitzel - got a thick lump of meal/grizzle with a runny egg on it, a spoonful of salad and 4 chips that were shivering from the cold!
The room was fine and had tea and coffee making facilities.
breakfast was extra and was good.
There was easy access to trams.buses, train and metro which we used - making use of the all day ticket.
There is guarded parking under the hotel (extra cost)
The lift to the rooms is activated by your room key - so no-one can roam about the hotel uninvited.
On our last day in Poland we wanted to visit the house where the composer Chopin was born. It is is a tiny village called Zelazowa Wola and there is no hotel in that village. The nearest hotel is 7 kilometres away in Sochaczew.
We found this 4-star hotel at Booking.com. The night - including breakfast - cost 60 euros. There is a guarded parking area behind the hotel for an extra 15 z per day. The room was very nice - big with two single beds and a sitting area, a lovely roomy shower and toilet.
We had dinner in the hotel and it was the very best meal of the trip..... costing 25 euros for the two of us (main course. water and coffees).
There is free internet in the room.

We had decided to visit Auschwitz on the day before the VT meeting - just the 2 of us. As we were arriving from Vienna we decided to go to Auschwitz before driving on to Krakow and we found this great hotel on Booking.com.
The hotel is new and is a two storey building but the is no lift (not important for us) but perhaps for handicpped people visiting.
The room was lovely - big with three single beds in it, shower, toilet and a little sitting area. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We asked about Wi-Fi and it was not availabble but we were given a cable for the computer - free of charge. The breakfast was very good - served in the basement restaurant.
There is a small parking area behind the hotel.
For visiting Auschwitz and Birkneau it is ideal as it is situated opposite the gates of Museum Auschwitz.

From the very first minute you enter this hotel, the service is exceptional. The staff are very friendly and will organise tours for you. The rooms are quite spacious and are very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Located in a quiet square - our flight left very early in the morning. They even organised a take away breakfast for us!! Fabulous restaurant down stairs in the hotel!!

This was really great accomodation- basic is some areas, but did have an on suite. It also had a balcony with a wonderful view and the price was very cheap at £8 per person per night including breakfast.
Great views, private balcony

Although it’s called the Tango Bed & Breakfast, this is actually a 500 year old part of Krakow’s history. This steep Medieval Tower was first public bathhouse. At street level you will see some small signs mentioning a café with Wi-Fi and some mention of historical origins. From there – it’s to the tower!
After climbing a steep set of wooden stairs and in the semi-dark you will see ancient murals painted underneath the stairs with the oldest murals on the inside of the top of the tower. I am sure that the stairs have been replaced a few times since the 1500’s and the murals probably ‘restored’ more than once, but this is a real piece of history. At the top are the different rooms, all modernised completely.
They have 8 double rooms with bathroom, tea/coffee facility, cable TV, wi-fi, and hairdryer. An iron and ironing board can be requested. They also have several family rooms with a kitchen. If you do not have a laptop, they will let you use one for free in the café downstairs.
The location is both its blessing and curse. It is less than a stone’s throw form the main Market Square. Reviewers report that in the hotter months the windows must stay open which lets the noise form all the late night bars nearby disturb guests. If you are a sound sleeper – go for it.
Warning: This accommodation is only suitable for people able to climb a lot of extremely steep stairs.
* Right at the main Market Square
* A very historical buiilding
* Gets great reviews
* Free wi-fi and laptop use
