When you're walking on Monte Cassino heading east toward the water, you'll pass through this pleasant square filled with outdoor cafes, flowers, fountains and plenty of places to grab a "lody" (ice cream). There is a sculpture of a fisherman here that is a reminder of Sopot's past as a small fishing village. Take a few minutes to enjoy the atmosphere before heading down to the waterfront.Just past this on your right hand side you'll see the building seen in my second picture. The tall tower is a lighthouse, but I don't know much else about it. The cross-street here is Grunwaldzka, which runs parallel to the beach. There's a smaller path even closer to the water that's a popular place for a stroll along the waterfront.
