This is a unique house becasue of its shapes. It is located along the main walk street called "Monciak". It was built in 2003 and remindes projects of famous Gaudi. Close to the house you may find many restaurants, bar and shops.

Old lighthouse of Sopot

Lighhouse of Sopot is located just near famous pier of this town. It as completed to built at 1904 as a part of one spa complex. Construction is 25 meters high, actually don’t have big architectural value, but it is really worth to go up to see nice panoramas of town and seaside, as well the longest pier in Baltic coastline.

Taking care of your health

Sopot is also known to be a health resort with the first facilities started towards the end of the 19th century. In this picture you can see one of the best known facilities with St. Adalbert's spring in front of it. The saline water is to be used externally for minaral baths to bring relief in various joints infammations and degenerative diseases. In the pump room the saline is drinkable and helps replenish minerals in your body. If you walk around the plant, you will see the mushroom-shaped spring. Now that's where you want to sit down and inhale the air if you have respiratory problems, laryngitis, sinus inflammation or a few other similar disorders.

How about a bicycle ride?

If you'd rather cicle than walk around Sopot, rent a bike from the Rowerownia rental. Sopot has several cycling routes: in the town itself, along the beach to Gdansk and Gdynia, as well as in the surrounding forest hills. They also have mountain bikes if you feel more adventurous :-) Depending on the type of bike you rent, you will pay 10-12 zloty (up to $4) for 2 hours; a day's rental will cost you 28-35 zloty ($9-$12). The rates for children's bikes are up to 50% lower. The Rowerownia rental is 10 minute's walk from the Monciak pedestrian street. The nearest SKM train station is Sopot Wyscigi. Carrying the bike on the SKM train is free in the summer.

"A Sunny Playground"

Sopot is a pleasant way to enjoy the sea and generally be lazy and have fun. There are plenty of entertainments on land as well as in the water, so you are sure to find something to entertain you. We visited on one of the hottest days of the summer and it was such a relief to enjoy a cool breeze and cool our feet as we walked the beach. I'm sure it would be sensational to stay in the enormous, luxurious hotel overlooking the sea...but I'm sure it is quite expensive. Maybe next time I will drag Gosia in for a sinfully expensive lunch.
