Sunday afternoon
Many people about in Sopot to enjoy the sunshine and streetlife.
Shops were open, I even bought a CD with a Polish pop singer.
We felt like snacking and bought this wonderful dried thin sausage to nibble on while we walked around.

Hi the experts,
I will visit Sopot this Saturday. Could someone tell me how to travel from Gdansk's airport to Sopot?
Is it easy to find the train station in airport?
Thanks for advance!
Lena
why dont you just take a taxi from the airport to sopot...no need to go to gdansk then onto sopot
There are busses from the airport to Gdansk and to Gdynia. From any of those places you can get to Sopot. It would be long ride.
I would take a taxi.
There is no trains from the airport to any of the 3 cities, only local buses.

These boats are pretty amusing. Everyone gets a life vest and you can hear people telling their mates or family members, "don't fall off! hang on." Of course, some of us already know what's going to happen. The operator of the boat starts out real easy and everyone gets very confidant and then whamoh! the guy swerves hard enough to send them all flying! Great fun. Everyone has an easy enough time climbing back on, and then the process begins yet again. Fun to watch.
The Heroes of Monte Casino St.(Bohaterow Monte Casino St.)- is the representative street of Sopot and itself a tourist attraction. Street is leading down to the pier is one of the most popular and best know street in Poland. It is lined with numerous pubs, shops, restaurants, cinemas and galleries. In summer it becomes a venue for itinerant street theaters, musicians and artists
This is a must when you are in Sopot. The pier is considered to be the longest wooden pier in Europe, but because it's wooden it gets damaged very often as autumn and winter gales can be violent.
the pier was finally built in the twenties of the 20th century and immediately gained popularity as a place for strolls and meetings.
In summer you can start from here your trip to Gdansk, Gdynia or Hel. By ship of course!
I kept on walking. Looking at people around me. Joggers, cyclists etc.
Suddenly I realised that I left my guidebook at the Tourist Office. Had to walk back & collected it ! Thank God, it was still there on the counter.
