Good value, budget accommodation.

My friend and I stayed at Dom Turystyczny Trio for 2 nights during a visit to Wroclaw in August 2008.

This good value tourist accommodation was recommended to me by fellow VTer Holger (HORSCHECK) who provided me with the website link to the accommodation’s online booking facility. I emailed the hotel directly and booked a twin room with shared facilities for 70 Zloty / 16 GBP per night.

Location

Dom Turystyczny Trio is located at ul. Trzemeska 4, just off the main street of Legnicka. The accommodation is located about 15 minutes walking time west of the city’s main square, Rynek. To reach Rynek on foot, simply walk eastwards along Legnicka. This street becomes Ruska further along and then leads straight onto Rynek.

Alternatively, there is a tram stop (“Mlodych Technikow”) right outside the accommodation where several different numbered trams stop en-route to the city centre.

Bedroom

Our twin room was sparsely furnished, but was comfortable and met our needs for a short stay. The furniture was a little dated and the décor was quite worn, but the room was clean and bright.

The room contained two beds, a small table with chairs, a fridge, a large wardrobe, cupboards and a washbasin. There was a heater in the room, but with our visit being in August this was not required and in fact we slept with the window open as there was no air conditioning in the room. There are no TVs in the rooms and no facilities for cooking or making tea and coffee.

The shared bathroom and shower facilities were generally clean and were never fully occupied when we required them. Each floor contains a room with 3 toilet cubicles and another room with 3 shower cubicles, for shared use between males and females. Towels are provided free of charge, but you’ll have to ask for them at reception as they were not provided in our room upon arrival. You can purchase a range of toiletries from reception if you require them.

General

No breakfast is available from the accommodation, but you’ll find supermarkets and cafes nearby.

Each floor contains a communal kitchen area if you plan to cook your own meals during your stay.

The accommodation consists of several hundred beds (single, double and family rooms) housed in a handful of low rise apartment blocks.

Good value, simple accommodation, within walking distance of the Rynek. Recommended for budget travellers!

Dom Turystyczny 'TRIO'

I stayed at that place for a couple of nights and they gave me a double for the price of a single...never had that before. I never took the bus or stuff to get to centre, it was only 15min walk.
