That's Me....
by coceng
Well, this photo, it was just me standing at one corner in the room.
Again, no flash & Adam took this photo...
It turned out quite okay, well at least we could see a person standing.
It pays to have a local to show you around, that's what I really stress out when we go to a place !
Fishing
by Leipzig
Seems the Odra River is quite clear so that fishes can exist. I saw several men sitting on the bank of the river with a fishing rod. Hmmm...I think I wouldn't like to taste the fishes caught in rivers that flow through big cities.
The Bermuda Triangle
by HORSCHECK
The so called Bermuda Triangle district offers a dramatic contrast to the area around the beautifully restored Market Square. Most of the old houses in the Bermuda Triangle are run down, but have interesting facades with oriels, little statues or other nice details.
When wandering around the streets you might feel as if you have stepped back into WWII times.
Please note that the Bermuda Triangle district is not the safest area of Wroclaw, so watch yourself.
Directions:
The Bermuda Triangle district is situated in the area south of Traugutta street and east of Pulaskiego street. This area is located east of the Old Town (Stare Miasto).
Bizarre, Bizarre
by AndreSTGT about PRL
This communist theme club in the heart of Wroclaw is the second most bizarre night club i've ever been too (after one in Cambodia) and i've hardly ever had so much fun anywhere.
When you enter this club your first impression will be : ????, this boring socialist retro kitsch cafe with awfully pathetic folk music is supposed to be one of the city's hottest clubs? But then you go downstairs and you'll be speechless. Wroclaw's sexiest girls dancing to mainly 60s and 70s music between portraits of Che, Mao, Lenin and other comrades. What a sight!!!!
The club also deserves a special bonus for playing rare gems such as Antonio Banderas' Mariachi song and Kalinka + it's 70% female!!
The Main Train Station
by wroclawiak
If you stay longer in Wroclaw and you need a train ticket you can buy it in the travel agency ORBIS in the Rynek (Market Square). In the train station you can have problems to purchase it because the main language spoken there is POLISH. First polish your Polish and then enjoy buying a ticket. ;-)
