see the Old Town. Old Town of Bydgoszcz is very small, so it will not take too much time. If you like 'old towns' go to Torun (40 km to the east), where the old town is really beautiful. At the picture you can see Zaulek street.

Pharmacy under the swan
This is one of the oldest pharmacies in Bydgoszcz. There is the Museum of Pharmacy established on the 27th of December 2003. It is situated in the Pharmacy, which makes up its historical part. This pharmacy proudly blends into the landscape of the Gdañska Street for 150 years aleardy.
The museum was opened on the 150th anniversary of the pharmacy established by a pharmacist from Ostrow (the today Ostrow Wielkopolski), Constantin Augusa Mentzl.
The museum is composed of five rooms – material medica, rich in books (including old medical books) library, interestingly arranged corridor, herbal shop and the museum’s treasure – galenite laboratory. Exhibits related with the history of pharmacy and medicine are exhibited in the rooms.
My home town - BYDGOSZCZCZSCZSZZCZS ;)
This horribly sounding name of the city comes from two polish words: "BE A GUEST". So I can say I live in a very friendly and hospitable city :)
Bydgoszcz is not the biggest of Polish tourist attraction but it's nice place to to live. It is situated in Central Poland close to Torun ( 50 km). Both cities have always been compiting in all different fields. When Torun is defenitely the first when it comes to tourism then Bydgoszcz is more successful at business. Besides Bydgoszcz is bigger and has more inhabitants.
June 2008 - World Junior Championship in Bydgoszcz:)
Here is a nice article about Bydgoszcz :)
Bydgoszcz is a very green city. We have lots of parks in here. Althought Bydgoszcz is almost as old as Torun (it received the city municipal rights in 1346/1349) its architecture is completely different. Most buildings were built in fin de siecle and Art Nuoveau style. We have many beautifull tenements in here, lot of little sweet hidden streets.
if you have a good friend in here :-)
