This stadium is Motoarena Torun. Szosa Bydgoska str. 78. Locates 6 km from old town and centre. Has good bus, tram connection with city centre.
Airport locates in nearby city - Bydgoszcz.
Torun is very beautiful old city. Enjoy!!!
Hello!
The easiest way to get there is taking the tram line 1 from Plac M. Rapackiego (if you are coming from the railway station this is the first stop after you have passed the bridge) and then cross the road and take the tram stop in ulica F. Chopina. You just get off at the terminus and go a little bit further in the same direction as you came, and then in to the right. But coming this far there will be no way on earth to miss it - just follow the crowds!! I'm sure it will be a nice experience for you, the stadium is magnific! 15.000 seats all under a roof.

Hello!
I agree with Jesper that you can take that tram, the problem is not every train stops at that station. The name of the main station is Torun Glowny and from there my suggestion is easier, however from the station you have to take a bus and change to the tram (just not to make anyone confused as there are no trams from this station).

Sun (V-VIII): 9 AM - 1 PM They have guide-books, souvenirs, maps, postcards and can give you all kind of information about tourism in Torun.
Torun is famous in all Poland for its gingerbreads.
In some markets you can buy them packed in the paper boxes formed as they were famous Torun buildings. Two of these markets are located at the Zeglarska Street, another one - if I remember well - at the Old Town Market Square.
WARNING: gingerbreads in "special" boxes are much more expensive then another cakes.
What to do when you see TV cameras in Torun?
My suggestions:
- don't panic, stay calm,
- wear VT T-shirt ASAP, if you have any. I have one brought from my Oceanside, California VT meeting - click here,
- keep smiling and publicize VT.

The Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU) in Torun was established in 1945. It is the largest university in northern Poland. It's one of the best universities in Poland as well.
A few facts:
1. A 32-metre (105-feet) radiotelescope, the third biggest in Europe, operates at the Centre of Astronomy;
2. Prof. Aleksander Wolszczan discovered the first planetary system outside our solar system just there;

Once it belonged to St. George's guild that looked back at the legendary King Arthur and his Round Table as the model for their social and religious activity.
The building witnessed a lot of historic events, the most important of which was the Peace of Torun signed here in 1466, when Poland regained some of its northern territories. Many celebrities were received in Arthur's Court, f.e. Teutonic Grand Masters or Polish kings.
The present building comes from 1891. It serves mainly as the cultural centre where many concerts, performances, lectures and also New Year's balls take place.
