Willa Krzyska: A Taste of Tarnow

The Willa Krzyska is a charming hotel on the outskirts of Tarnow, with a suprisingly elegant gourmet restaurant attached. The hotel is very clean and very new. It was fairly hot in July when we visited, and no air-conditioning yet, but I would keep checking for it, and fans were adequate. No elevator, but the steps are wide and easy to take. The staff were very friendly and personable, which was very important to me and my parents who were traveling with me, since my mother's family emigrated from the Tarnow area, so meeting and talking with friendly local people was important. We had a lot of fun talking and hanging out at the pub with the hotel staff (see a couple of pics here). The manager (Maria) was very helpful and was able to communicate with me in English via email -- very appreciated! The hotel was just as quiet as they claimed it would be, and we all slept very well. We plan to stay at the Willa Krzyska again next summer, and I would highly reccomend it!

Unique Quality: The restaurant is fantastic and was a very nice surprise -- a gourmet chef is on the staff, so be prepared for a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was also superb, and recommended.
