Good For Business
The two principal youth hostels in the centre of the Old Town of Krakow are Bling Bling and Dizzy Daisy. They are next to each other.
They are both fairly modern. Have free internet. Laundry services. Breakfast is included in the deal at a nearby cafe.
However, I`d recommend you book early. They are both popular, due to the proximity to the old town and, as a consequence, get full quickly particularly at weekends.
Good and affordable accomodation
I was looking for a place to stay last minute and I stumbled across this hostel. Its pretty clean and the rooms are decent.
Me and my family (5 of us) stayed in one large room at a cost of 40 ZL per person per day (CDN $14.81, USD $11.85). The rooms Its located about a 5 minute walk from the Wawel and about a 10 -15 minute walk away from downtown Krakow.
You must turn in your key when you leave the building, this kid of sucks cause the office is on the 4th floor and you're always out of breath by the time you get there. Also, the hostel itself can be hard to find so keep your eyes wide open. There is a convenience store at the bottom of the hostel and tons of restaurants nearby to eat.
Unique Quality: No curfew, no lockout.
Directions: ul. Przemyska 3,
5 minutes from Wawel, 10-15 minute walk from downtown Krakow.
