Holiday Inn
It was very good and the location was one of the best. Located within a short walk to the castle, and also the old town. It is next to a park and the greenery in the area is good. Food at breakfast was very nice. and service attentive.

Great Location
This hotel is in a great location. Stayed for 3 nights. Nowhere is more than a 15 min walk away.....The Jewish Quarter, Train Station, Krakowska shopping centre and main square about 5 mins. Bedroom was top class, comfortable bed with pillow options. Loads of toilitries in smart bathroom with good shower. Fantastic choice at breakfast. I recommend the freshly made omlette to your choice. Didn't use any other hotel facilities. Priority Club get bottle of wine, pastry and 1hr free internet. All staff very friendly. It was about £100 B&B in a double room.
Unique Quality: Great Location with friendly infomative staff.

Excellent Hotel
We stayed here for 4 nights in early Dec 06.We would thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to the city.Firstly, it is only a few hundred yards from the Old Town, and also a short walk from the train/bus station.Reception was very friendly and efficient and all staff could speak English. The standard room was spacious, very clean and modern. The bed was big and very comfy, the bathroom was excellent with a very good power shower,towels,towel- radiator, toileteries and socket for shaver/clippers.There was plenty of space for luggage with a few coathangers included. There was no iron but reception sent one on request. There was a TV with Eurosport and ppv films.A fridge had beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks and chocolate. The prices for these were in line with British pub prices(expensive for Krakow!) as were drinks in the bar which was set in very nice surroundings near to reception.Only problem was the bar shut at approx 1am even at w/end and the bar manageress seemed quite stroppy. No complaints though, this is a top-class hotel and we wouldn't hesitate to use it again.
Unique Quality: Excellent rooms. Great location. Friendly, courteous staff.

Very Close to Centre
Very close to main square and in a safe area, worth paying the extra to be so close, all bedrooms well presented and staff very friendly, as in all these hotels meals and drinks are on the high side, the mini bar is top price in the bedroom example 12 zlotys for a small beer, found it easiler on the way back to the hotel pop in to the supermarket 50 yards away and buy a 6 pack for 10 zlotys and exchange the cold bottles for yours saves a few zlotys over the week
Breakfast is standard and coffee is served per cup when you can catch the waitess would have liked a pot on the table,
Flowers are a extra in the room well worth it just email ahead of arrival average cost around 150 zlotys
Overall just for convenience to the centre I would recommend this hotel

We were part of the Smartours Eastern European Cities Tour (an excellent tour company). Stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Krakow....wished we could have stayed longer in Krakow and at this hotel. Well located.....only minutes to the old town area. Nice, clean room; comfortable beds, quiet room, pleasant lobby bar, excellent jewelry shop on premises, and an impressive breakfast buffet. An excellent hotel
An adequate choice
by TripAdvisor Member Toofaraway
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Krakow City Centre for two nights in early September, 2006. The hotel is about what one would expect of a Holiday Inn property-adequate, but not outstanding. The hotel is modern and conveniently located near the center of old Krakow. The market square and other historic sites were an easy walk from the hotel. On the other hand, the hotel is located on a busy street with limited area to park. The room was clean and comfortable, but not very large. The restaurant was one floor below street level and not impressive as to appearance, as it appeared to be off of a basement hallway. The food was good, however and service was fine. The hotel is an adequate choice if you are not expecting ambience.
Not bad

I stayed at the Krakow Holiday inn in April 2006. Rooms are a good size although I was given a room with two single beds, I expected a double bed. Bathroom is quite large although it reminded me of a hospital bathroom. You also need to pay for internet, so if you are there for business and working in the evening it can be quite costly.
Value for money, it is not bad, however I'd pay extra and stay at a hotel that caters more to business travellers.
If you are there for vacation, the hotel is in an excellent location and steps from the main square.
Would I stay here again? Maybe, but compared to the Sheraton Krakow, hands down I'd choose the Sheraton.
Very good centrally located hotel - highly recommended

As a 'Priority' club member we were upgraded to an Executive room and were given free internet access , free soft drinks in room , late check out and a free newspaper(yes , we got our free newspaper although unlike some reviewers this was not the most important aspect of our stay !!) . NIce hotel , 5 mins walk from both Castle and Market square , comfortable rooms , nice new bar area , good breakfast , what more do you want ?? . We also contacted the hotel who arranged transport to and from the Airport in the hotel Merc for about 12 quid each way which we thought good value . Highly recomended

Q:Overnight Train to Krakow "Has anyone taken the sleeper train to Krakow from Prague? How was it, were there too many stops, comfortable, etc?"
A: "LOL! It is important. I also want to know if its safe, as far as theft goes.
You answered one question, the 16 stops. I am not the deepest sleeper. So that may be an..."
