Nice, clean and good breakfast buffet

Real nice area (Old Jewish), fair price, helpful staff and great breakfast buffet.

Recomentable

Unique Quality: Nothing fancy, some cool glass mosaik in the restaurant showing the Zodiak.

Kazimierz II

We just spent 10 days at the Hotel Kazimierz II. Overall, the stay was very pleasant, and I would use them again on my next trip. Here's a quick rundown on the pros and cons;
Pros:
Service and staff were excellent
Room was clean and well-equipped
Breakfast was great and plentiful
Great water pressure and plenty of hot water for showers
Easy walking distance from attractions/shopping
Cons:
Room is a little chilly (common for european hotels)
Towels are a bit harsh (but good for exfoliation)
We ordered a large bed for 2, but got 2 twins pushed together. If you don't get along so well, the individual beds are comfy enough...however, if you like to snuggle somebody gets stuck in the crack. Admittedly, not the worst thing in the world...but it's kinda funny.

As I said, the overall experience was great, and they do throw one hell of a New Year's party. The first course was served at 20.00, and the food keeps coming until 03.30. We ate ourselves sick x3...lolol

convenient for old town

We stayed in winter which meant the hotel was not very full and the rooms were cold, but generally it was pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was good but basic (the usual meats, egg, bread and yoghurt stuff)

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

Take a Walk in Kazimierz

by RandomDreamer

Krakow is a great city to walk around and you can easily lose yourself in the splendour surrounding you.

Kazimierz is ramshackle and easy on the eye. Although there's not many Jews left in Krakow, there's a great Jewish history here that's obvious enough for me not to go into.

There's maps up here and there that sugguest a walking route, they are a good way to get around, although I found it more interesting to just wander aimlessly.

Keep an eye out for Schindler's factory... you may have better luck at finding it that me!

The Hotel Kazimierz in on ul. Miodowa, a 10-15 minute walk to Rynek Glowny and the old town. Some nice bars near the hotel, Propaganda and La Habana are really cool. Although I didn't stay at the Kazimierz I did walk past and have a good look in, it looks nice and has some lovely stained glass windows.

Enjoy your stay in Karkow, it's an amazing place!!!

I stayed there about 3 years ago when they had just opened and some construction was still going on which made it a bit less enjoyable at that time, but it´s a nice place, good to explore Kazimierz and close enough to walk to the old town area. If you are fond of Bagels - Bagelmama, ran by an American, is just a few minutes away in the same street and offers the best bagels you will find in Poland. It´s also a very short walk to ul Szeroka and Plac Nowy where you have the biggest concentration of restaurants and bars in Kazimierz
