    This hotel was wonderful. Staff went out of their way from the moment we walked into the lobby. They provided a great breakfast and nice, clean rooms. The hotel staff was also helpful in finding us a private tour guide and recommended good resteraunts! Rooms were great. Overall the hotel has a very home-like atmosphere!

    The hotel is located near the Florian Gate in a very nice area. In fact, our window looked out upon the beautiful gate! We found the location to be perfect!

    We spend few nights in this hotel during summer 2005.
    We chose that hotel because of its location close to the Rynek Glowny (market square) and train station. We also got a good deal on this hotel through some popular hotel search engine.
    Hotel is very charming and is located on a quiet street close to all the action.
    Our room was overlooking courtyard, there was no AC but it was no problem with cool polish nights. We had two single beds (yeah) and they were not really comfortable (the mattress did not really fit the bed frame and I felt like my head was lower than my legs).
    Room was pretty decent size so as the bathroom, however shower was separated from the rest of the bathroom with curtain only without any frame and the water was poring between curtain edge and the wall all over the bathroom. Room was cleaned daily however.

    Our breakfast was included in the price and it was really perfect polish hotel breakfast.

    Breakfast room was downstairs in beautifully decorated room.

    There was buffet with plenty to choose from (cheese, tomato, bread, jelly, cold cuts, fruit and much more)
    If you asked the hotel stuff made you perfect scrambled eggs.

    We really enjoyed the breakfast since eating every day in the restaurants adds up.

    Another unique quality was a pure luck. The day we were staying in this hotel, right at front of it the movie was being made, so we had a chance to walk through the movie set. It was the movie about Pope John Paul II since it was only few months after he passed away.

  • This was the first time we had stayed in a hotel in Krakow, and I don't see any reason to stay anywhere else! Wonderfull staff, great location, comfortable rooms. Nourishing breakfast (included) with plenty of traditional fare. Those who sleep light may want to request a room off the street. Our room was on the street and we relished the ability to sit on the window sill and lookdown on the medievel streetscape.

  • Good hotel friendly clean and all you would expect. Nice staff. Other comments have talked about noise on the street side but that is mainly and the 'McDonalds' end - ie right facing the gate. Towards the other end its is fine.

    Great location for old town - everything walkable.

  • We stayed in Hotel Polski for 3-4 night in Aug 2006. Staff was very helpful and breakfasts were wonderful. Good location. Only problem is that our room faced the front of the building so we were on a busy street. The hotel was very hot so we needed to keep our windows open all night and the noise continued into the wee hours of the morning and then started again with city garbage and cleaning around 5am. It really was hard to get much sleep. Ask for a room NOT on the street side if you want to sleep well.
