Hotel Pugetow
Wanted to book a room @ the Maltanski Hotel for sept 21-24/05....but there's no vacancy. They do have availibility their sister hote "Pugetow", but I don't anything about it! Is anyone familiar with this hotel...rooms/apts, location, etc? thanks for the help VT. Alice

Location is in Starowislna Street, about 5-8minutes walking to the Market square. Nevertheless i've never been inside this hotel, i'm sure it's a very good place (Puget's Palace is rather exclusive).

"Hotel Pugetow is incredible! It is a small, "boutique" style hotel with about 6 guest rooms, but I can't rave enough about it. It's one of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in, in all of Europe. Our room, or apartment, rented for about $200 US per night (600 zloty). This great room includes non-touch key card entry with entry hall, living room (antiques), queen sized bed and bathroom. Room includes safe, mini-bar, satellite TV, hand held remote controlled thermostat. Bathroom includes towel warmers, stall type shower, boutique bathroom supplies. In room coffee maker with daily supply of coffee. Full (cold) breakfast is included. Breakfast room bar in basement includes croissants with jelly, fresh fruit, juice milk, deviled eggs, and choices of cereal. Cafe au lait or tea is served upon request. Each day the breakfast room is stocked with beautiful fresh flowers. Other plusses include that the hotel is superbly located just a few blocks from the market square (Rynek Glowny) and a 10-minute walk to Kasimierz (the old Jewish section). Also, an ATM and post office are just a block away. The staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to fill any request. They can help you with travel arrangements to nearby salt mine or Auschwitz. They arranged to pick us up and drop us off at the airport for about $22 US (70 zloty). I would definitely stay there again. "
