Trains from Krakow to Budapest or vice-versa

by lifesaver888

It's too early to plan yet but it's always a good idea to plan ahead of time for one's journey.Haven't decided yet where should I visit first or spend the New Yr (2012) next year(Krakow or Budapest).Anyways, does anyone know where I could search or get some idea which trains travel between these 2 cities and is it difficult getting a ticket during peak season like after new year?
Thank you!

Be aware that time tables are up dated in early December so you may not be able to put in your exact dates for New Years 2012, but you can put in other dates,ie November, times from year to year don't vary that much.

Barbican Euromeet 2010 Photoshoot

by Martin_S.

The Krakow Barbican, exquisite structure. Matt decided to have a photo shoot for the Krakow 2010 Euromeet here, a beautiful place to do it, as you can see in the photos..
Matt, Ursula and our Polish "troop" took a moment to rest before more photos.
Winfred, Teresa and Ursula have a small discussion.
And Alex gets a few winks before continuing on.

Seeing A Ghost !

by coceng

This photo was taken on my way to Wawel Castle.
I noticed there was 'a ghost' woo-ing passers-by as we were all walking on the road leading to the Castle.
I always loved seeing all these performance artists doing their performance arts in places that I have been to around Europe. Vienna, Rome, Florence, Berlin....they are all over Europe & what they are doing is so creative from my perspective...
it is a thriving (free) art in Europe !

THE VISTULA RIVER

by LoriPori

At 1,047 km ( 651 miles ) in length, the VISTULA RIVER is the longest and one of the most important rivers in Poland. It flows over vast Polish plains, passing several large Polish cities along its way, including Krakow, Warszawa and Gdansk. It empties directly into the Gdansk Bay and then into the Baltic Sea.
At the time we were in Poland, there was massive flooding in many parts of Poland. Rivers, creeks and fields were overflowing with water.
When we visited Wawel Castle, there were stunning views of the Vistula River.
It is also possible to take a Vistula River Cruise, choosing from many operators that dock along the River, esp around the Wawel Castle area.

If you know anyone in Krakow,...

by anne_h

If you know anyone in Krakow, look them up. Poles are incredibly hospitable. I didn't get to experience this, but my brother did. Our cousin married a Polish woman, and her cousin looked up my brother and invited him to dinner at his parents'. True to form, they had a bottle of vodka on the table and made them all this food. They didn't speak any English and were totally thrilled when my brother's girlfriend would blurt out the Polish words she knew.

Original packaging

by matcrazy1

When you come back do NOT forget to save original packagings of all good you bought in Krakow. Just in rare case you have to return something. Add bills haha :-))).

Look at my pic. Hmm... order a truck better.
