A nice view of an area in Krakow across the river.... not very close to downtown, but the way, but you can have some nice views of the city like this one when walking by the riverbank or on one of its bridges....

Hi,we are traveling to krakow next week and will be staying at the Rezydent Hotel, we plan to get the train from the airport but we are not sure how to get to the hotel when we get off the train. Any advice please?
Thankyou
Jax
It is very easy indeed (and it's a very nice hotel, imo).
Bascially, leave the station and walk to the Rynek Glowny (the main square). You'll find the city it well-signed in English, so you shouldn't have too much trouble.
You'll enter the Rynek near the Mariaki Basilica (unmissable, two huge spires). Keep that on your left and the huge Cloth Hall (may still be scaffolded) on your right as you walk straight across the square to Ulica Grodka.
The hotel is on the left, about a third of the way down the street. Keep your eyes open, because the entrance and sign are easy to miss. You'll pass a Georgian fast-food restaurant on the left (very good, by the way) and the hotel entrance is a few yards after that.
Here's the map:

It should take you about 10-15 minutes, depending on how many times you stop to go 'ooooh!' on the way.....Krakow is a lovely city. Enjoy! :-)
Thankyou very much for the directions cant wait to go
You'll have a brilliant time! Make sure you try some zubrowka (bisongrass vodka). :-)

Ok this is not only a man, it is Matcrazy1 showing me that Krakow horses are very nice.
Don't be afraid to pet them. I was a litttle hesitant as I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and there were no horses in the city when I grew up.
Just goes to show that Krakow keeps tradition and old time values.
The charm of a wonderful city in Krakow.
The greatest Krakowian resided in Vatican from 1978 to 2005. Before becoming Pope John Paul II, Karol Wojtyla had lived in Krakow for four decades–practically through his entire adult life until his assumption of the papacy. There is a tribute to him at St Mary's
Polish Cinema produced a string of important movie directors, the best known being Andrzej Wajda whose
“Popiol i diament“ (“Ashes And Diamond”), “Wszystko na sprzedaz”(“Everything For Sale”) introduced Poland to the world cinema. Andrzej Wajda and other notables like Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Krzysztof Zanussi, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Agnieszka Holland enjoyed high prestige in international film circles.
Rabka is exactly 40 min drive from Krakow and there are few slopes here. The one I like the most is called Polczakowka and maybe it's not like in Alps but for being so close to the city it's well worth going there.
