We enjoyed a 2 room suite for 2 adults and 2 children for about 160 euros a night with sumptuous breakfast. Everything, from the thick bathrobes provided to the front desk service is completely elegant. Location is very good.

Like any large cosmopolitan city in Europe, Krakow offers a lot of hotel choices. Both times I visited I stayed at the Hotel Francuski and could not have been more pleased. Located in Old Town this can not be considered a bargain but it most certainly is a treat. Most of the time I opt for the small out of the way place but once in a while...
The Francuski is definitely old world elegance recently remodeled with all the amenities. The staff was pleasant and helpful and rooms were spacious and well kept. Without request, during both my stays I was given one of the few rooms you see with the balcony. My last stay was 1998 so check some recent reviews but I am guessing it is still pretty good.

Unique Quality: This is definitely a first class Hotel without any doubt. Beautiful rooms, mini bar, satellite TV, and we even had a balcony. The bathrooms with their gold fittings are opulence at it’s best. Pleasant English speaking staff. Great breakfast including a selection of cooked to order choices.

My nicest memory of Cracow is the way the gentlemen greet the ladies: by a handkiss. This remainder of the K.&K. monarchy still exists and makes Cracowians so special. - Lots of things are to see in Cracow, the church at the market place, the Wawel castle, the extremely good food in Hotel Francuski. But to be honest: my special reason to return to Cracow is the handkiss - it makes me feel honoured.
