Head Straight To the Pensions!!!!

To get a real bargain in Zakopane... forget the hotels and head straight to the Pensions. I was originally going to stay in a hotel and priced almost every hotel in Zakopane for my group before making a booking. The hotel I chose messed up my booking a week before I was due to leave and in a last minute panic I booked everyone into Moszczeniczanka Pension. What a great choice!!!
The rates were so good that I was able to book the entire pension, which normally sleeps 55, for my 30 guests only and it was still heaps cheaper. I paid ZLN 1000 per night including breakfast, which works out to GBP 180 per night for 30 people! That is GBP 6 each per night including breakfast. When not part of a group it costs about GBP 9 per person. The rooms were as good and comfortable as a 3 or 4 star hotel with lots of space and a few with huge balconies.

Unique Quality: This place far exceeded any of our guests expectations. The views were amazing with nothing inbetween the pension and the mountain but open space. The food was freshly made and completely traditional, breakfast was unbelievably good and filling with fresh meats, hams, fruit, sausages, egg, everything you could possibly want for breakfast or even a lunch was served. It was a 10 minute walk to center of town and a sauna, balconies and a great conference room.
The best thing about Pensions is not only the price, but their attention to their guests, they were willing to 'go to the ends of the earth' for each and everyone of our guests. Organising trips, dinners, activities and even accompanying one of our guests to the hospital at 2am to translate for the doctors.
But my tip is:
First look at Pensions before you make a decision on booking into a hotel. You will be pleasently surprised!
