Good For Families
We spent one night at this traditional pension which we found from the stand next to the tourist office in the town centre.
It is a little difficult to find - we had a SatNav which proved to be very useful as it is on a side street just outside the town centre.
We had two twin rooms which were a little small but comfortable for our stay. Each room had a shared balcony with another room and had tea/coffee making facilities and a small TV. Views to the Tatra Mountains were slightly obstructed by trees but were still great.
Included in the room rate was a great continental breakfast buffet with a selection of cheese, meats, bread, yoghurt and scrambled eggs (with ham) were offered and thoroughly enjoyed!
Unique Quality: This pension is steeped in history and, if you can overcome the language barriers, the hostess will be able to show you some pictures from the 1930s when the building stood alone amongst fields. There are some great antiques within the building in the lounge, bar and dining room.
Traditional family owned B&B
We found this place from the listings on the board outside the tourist Info Office.
A Lovely traditional family owned place, just out of the main centre, so very peaceful!
Although the lady who owned it spoke very little English, she was very friendly, and through sign language etc, we found out a bit about the history of the building etc.
We had 2x twin rooms, each with a (shared ) balcony.
Our room had beds, storeage space, en suite bathroom
to be continued....
