Comfortable city centre hotel
Gromada is an old hotel which seems to have undergone a pretty good refurbishment. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was old, but clean - and had a tub as well as a shower.
Unfortunately, no minibar (looks like there used to be one but they removed them...) and no a/c - room was hot during the day.
Breakfast was reasonable, but the place was cramped - everyone was sharing tables.
When I stayed I felt very much in a minority as an under-50...
Unique Quality: Location is great - right in the middle of central Warsaw.

Tidy and Economical
It is a three-star hotel, but tidy, economical and has got access to restaurants and shopping. It's around 10 minutes from the airport of Warsaw.

budget hotel central warsaw
This hotel is a real discovery, it is located very central, it is a very comfortable three star's, (i have stayed in some three star hotels in central and eastern europe that would struggle to get a 1 star rating in england)
A very grand entrance hall (even a little imposing)
the rooms were brightly decorated, satelite tv, bathroom with bath and shower!
The only real complanit is that the reception staff are not as friendly as i would like and the bar seems to be closed last time i visited.
Unique Quality: The hotel is a few minutes walk from the lively centre of warsaw, there are great pubs and clubs within a very short distance of this place.
It is about 20 minutes walk from train station, but if you have heavy bags a taxi will cost about $2
about $10 from airport.

A taste of the 70s
This hotel, although a bit pricey, presents the guest with a real step back in time. The view from the stirwell is straight down Ulica Zlota to the Palace of Culture. The furnishings are pure 70s - mint greens and chipboard and socio-realistic paintings. Over the road is the legendary Sofia Club. Around the corner is Winnie the Pooh Street !
