I have only spent a night at this hotel and I arrived quite late in the evening by taxi. I can't comment too much about the surroundings, the hotel location or even how the hotel look like!
However regarding the interior, this is one of the best hotel I’ve seen recently. The hotel has a triangle shape and my window was overlooking the inner triangle, could be quite ugly but what they have done is that the reception and/or the restaurant are based in that inner triangle. There is a huge glass roof covering it, quite funny!
The furniture and the look of the room are really classy. You can feel you are in a luxurious hotel. Even the corridors are decorated with taste! I also appreciated the bathroom with a dedicated floor level shower.
The bed was relatively comfortable but I have already seen better. Same thing for the breakfast. It was ok but I have also seen better. Beans were not even available, what a shame! ;-) Otoh, that breakfast was included in the price of the room which was pretty cheap considering the corporate discount (105E).
No particular bad experience regarding the staff, it has simply been professional!
Internet connection worked fine (via iPass) but only wired, no wireless connection was available!!
Guys, im going to Warsaw next week, will be there from Sept 10 till sept 13 and i havea question:
since im a big football fan and on Sept 11 we have important game in Kiev Ukraine - Italy, i gonna miss it live, but i still hope to watch it on TV. Is there any good sport bars in a city where i can see international matches not only on local level in Poland?
Thank u in advance
inna
The best place to see a range of sports in a great atmosphere is Champions at Al. Jerozolimskie 65/79, next door to the Marriott Hotel. At the last count they had over 30 screens. Although a bit pricey by local standards they sell a wide range of drinks and fast food. If anywhere is going to show your match I'm sure they will. Best of luck to your team!

thanks alot!!! i will go there for sure!
Do u know how far is it from Hyatt Regency Warsaw where i will stay?
The Hyatt is about 2 miles from the Marriott. An easy walk or a short taxi ride.
I know there's another one on the courtyard of Inter Continental, much smaller than the one at the Marriott's, at least one very big screen. I know many expats go there.
Hi.
Champions at Mariott Hotel is not a bad choice. But there can be a problem.
I think that Ukraine-Italy game is on Wednesday (12-th Sept). The same day Poland plays crucial match in the same Euro-2008 eliminations, with Finland.
And now try to guess what game will be (probably) presented in Champions;)?
So what can you do?
1. Try to convince staff at Champions to turn on Ukraine's game on one of their screens.
2. Try to find another place in Warsaw when this match will be shown.
3. There is a program called "Road to Euro-2008" on Polish Eurosport channel from 21.00. However, they do not inform which game they will be broadcast (it won't be 100% Polish game cause they don't have the rights). Maybe Ukraine-Italy? Maybe not.
4. If you won't manage to see the game live, you can always watch the highlights on tv around midnight (for instance on these channels:
Polsat Sport - 00.05 AM,
Eurosport - 23.00, or
TVP2 - 1.55 AM).
I'm sure you will have them available in your hotel.
Good luck for you and for Ukraine!
