One of the best hotels in Warsaw!
I stayed in this 4-star-mid-scale-hotel in November 2013 year. The Mercure Warszawa Grand Hotel is perfectly located on one hand in the heart of the city, walking distance away from the historic Old Town, luxurious shopping malls, Lazienki Park and the Royal Route, but on the other hand in a quiet and nice neighborhood. It is close also to several types of public transport with easy access to Warsaw Central station. As I have been told it was recently renovated and this is visible everywhere - everything was fresh and clean, its 299 modern rooms are with glass shower rooms, in-room safe, air conditioning and television with satellite channels, free wireless internet connection, you get also two bottles of sparkling mineral water for free. There is also free wireless in the lobby where you can find complimentary newspapers, the hotel offers also a nice fitness center to its guests. The breakfast was very good, the service was very good everywhere, the only thing I didn't like about this hotel is the small size of the room and small space for clothes as well as the above average for this city room price (including breakfast) around 180 EUR, but if I visit Warsaw again I will stay definitely in the same hotel!
Unique Quality: Walking distance from the Old Town and some shopping malls, the hotel freshness, cleanliness and great service!
The Mercure Grand Warsaw is a very fine 4 star hotel in the heart of the city. Its staff are friendly, helpful and do speak english. A sumptuous breakfast buffet is offered for a moderate fee and there's also a restaurant on the premises serving international cuisine.
The rooms are very nice and clean, complete with flat screen TV. I highly recommend this property even though I was here only 2 nights.
Unique Quality: Good location. The castle is a 30 minute walk away and public transportation is nearby.
This hotel is stalinist in external appearance, although the interior is well furnished, with spacious lobby.
The rooms are adequate, although suffer from the normal Polish problem of the beds being to small.
The food in the restaurant was of an acceptable standard and there was plenty of it.
The function room "olimpic" on the 10th floor was large, spacious, and well set up for business meetings.
Unique Quality: The view accross the city from the 10th floor meeting room is worth a look.
Directions: This hotel is within central Warsaw, but is not within walking distance of the old town and castle
