Autumn in Warsaw
by Agnesss
If you plan to visit Warsaw in autumn, it is not as bad as you might think. Actually, it might be just the opposite. The city is colurful and it has this unique flavour of melancholy/spleen which does not bring you down. Or even if it does, it is still beautiful. Just take a look at some of the photos I took last week. Warsaw, October 2008.
Waiting for my head to be....

...chopped off !!!!...
.....then, they asked for money ( I was not dead of course..).
They said the value of my life (...my head..) worth the amount of the money that I gave them....
....I didn't give them much unfortunately....
visit the Palace of Culture...
by Tolik
visit the Palace of Culture and Science. The Stalinesque skyscraper towering over the city centre (there are a few like this one in Moscow) is probably the most impressive piece of this kind of architecture from 1950th. I heard the story that in the early 90th, an American businessman wanted to purchase it and redevelop into a business center (removing the elaborate pinnacle and crenellated outbuildings). Guess what - Warsovians, after decades of mocking this symbol of Russian imperialism, grudgingly admitted a sentimental attachment to the Palace. In the end, the Palace is still here and from the 30th floor you can get a breathtaking view of the whole city.
The ever present horseman
by Pawtuxet
Visit Old Town Warsaw. It's a remarkable achievement by remarkable people. Everytime I look at this place, I am in awe of the spirit and determination it took to rebuild it after WWII.
Here we see the ever present horseman and his carriage carrying tourists around Old Town. Seems as if he's everywhere I turned.

Football scarf of Krzysztof
by matcrazy1
We, at least Krszysztof, Tom (koala_bearPL), Claus (cachaseiro), and I, were talking about our favorite football clubs now and in the past. So, just before leaving us Krszysztof, brought and showed off his footbal treasure - the black and white scarf of Belgrad football team! Well, I wish you a lot of fan during the next football matches you will be lucky to watch.
