Powisle

Good budget solution

I stayed in Powisle twice just for a couple of days and both times got the same room :) - this is still quite weird to me. The room itself didn't impress me much but at least it was clean. There's no minibar (just two bottles of mineral water), no air-conditioner (it was pretty cold in the room as I stayed there in january), no hair-drier, just a regular continental breakfast, quite helpful staff. Even though the hotel is situated a bit far off from the center of the city I used public transportation only a couple of times. It was much nicer to walk all the way to ul. Marszalkowska or ul. Nowy Swiat or even to Stare Miasto :) Besides, most locals seem to be confused with the question about location of ul. Szara where the hotel is situated so in case you get lost, you better ask for Solec district or ul. Rozbrat which are evidently known to almost every local :) So I would recommend Powisle hotel for budget travelers or short business trips or for those who need an unpretentious accomodation at reasonable price.
