Primeval forest
by wladziu
Is the trip to the primeval forest from Warsaw best taken by car or organized tour? Advisable to spend the night there? Is the trip warranted?

When visiting Bialystok, you must visit the Gromada and Cristal Hotel, the most extravagent hotels in the city. These hotels not only host accomidations but also fine dining, dancing and the most important a great atmosphere.
The churches in Bialystok are incredible and so beautiful, even if you are not a church person it's a must that you do see atleast one of them. Not only do I miss my family that resides in Bialystok, but also the side street shops in which you can find absolutely everything, and ofcourse the beauty of nature that you can really experience just outside the city, and mostly clean air.
Bison Brand Vodka

In Bialystok there is produced the famous polish vodka "ZUBROWKA".
This vodka is flavoured with an extract of Zubrowka, the fregrant herb beloved by the European Bison ( wisants).
It have 40 % alcohol, very good is with the apple juice and ice cubes.
It`s made in POLMOS - producent of the polish vodka.
In the bottle inside there must be every time one blade of the wisant`s gras.
Christmas crib

In the city centre there is for Christmas time the Christmas crib on the street. In every church is a Christmas crib too. We like go from the one church to the other and see the Christmas cribs. In this cribs there are too living animals, but I take this foto a little to late... maybe next year :)
This Christmas crib made a charity organisation "Stowarzyszenie Droga". They made a collection for the children of the poor families.
The road of the Tatars
by sphynxxs
Imagine a typical Eastern Polish village - wooden hamlets, meadows, woods. Bohoniki has all this, but lacks the Christian crosses of either Catholics or Orthodoxes that are so familiar in this region elsewhere. Little wonder - Bohoniki is one of the twi remaining Tatar villages and taking pride in its wooden mosque instead. The Tatars live in this area for more than 300 years, the privilege of settlement a reward by the Polish crown. Aside from Bohoniki, there is yet another Tatar village, Kruszczyniany, about 25 miles away
