Gdansk hotel

This is a very beautiful place. Nearby the Academy of Music you can reach the old city (through the Green Gate) in 5 minutes. With a single room 40 € (double: 60€) you'll have: warm room (very important in Winter!), private shower and wc, TV and Breakfast Buffet but above all, very nice public space and atmosphere and excellent and friendly Staff (german and english speaking).
Only one cons: wall are thin and you can hear a polen singer in the room nearby ;-)

You could try a google search on "Gdansk rental apartment". You could spend teh money you'd save on more rubbish, and probably get a better location to boot.

You can try a very centrally located hotel, called Dom Muzyka http://www.dom-muzyka.pl - a double room is 220 pln, which makes about 55 euro (a bit less). Take currency as you wish-you can exchange euros to zloty in numerous places.
Have a nice time in Gdansk!

Michael,
check HORSCHECK's Gdansk page- I remember he was very glad with the accommodation in a guesthouse in Gdansk.Torun- as a medieval town -very worth visiting, Gdynia and Sopot- a day trip maybe enough just to see and feel the atmosphere!
Have a nice time!

Hi!

You can bring Euros to Poland and change them to Zlotys in banks or in exchange places called "Kantor".

Torun, Sopot are worth a visit. Also Malbork castle, Frombork town.

Hope to see your travel pages about this places after your trip:)

Try Grzegorz Gruszczynski, he has an apartment in the centre of Gdansk at a reasonable price.
