The architecture reminded me very much of Amsterdam..and in fact, there is an influence of the Dutch here. Years ago there was a great deal of wealth here in Gdansk, especially when it was one of the world's busiest shipping centers. . a major trade route. Hence, the businessmen built shrines to their success..which are preserved for us to enjoy today.
