My partner and I are visiting Gdansk in September and would like to visit the camp at Sztutowo. I have read that there is a bus but cannot find any more information. Could anyone point me in the direction of where I could find out more info on where to get it from? times? and cost?

You must take a bus going to Krynica Morska stopping at Sztutowo. The buses - from the Gdansk bus station - go every hour (8.15, 9.15, 10.15, 11.15 and so on)
The fare is 10,50 zl. I'm not sure if return tickets are available.
The journey lasts just over an hour if there are no traffic jams.

Spires of gothic churches are visible just entrancing Gdansk older part. The longest spire is a part of Mariacki Cathedral. Gdansk old town is a mix of various architectural styles – gothic, renaissance, baroque, but the most visible, I should say, is gothic, because almost all big, fundamental building were constructed at gothic era. There are only few churches of other styles.
Strolling the old town on a warm summer evening (even among milling crowds of people, which I don't usually enjoy!) - a boat ride up the Vistula - climbing the tower of St. Mary's Church - there are too many to recount!
There are many cultural and sport events worth seeing in Gdansk, especially in summer months. If you look for information on the events:
- look at typical round poster pillars placed around the old town (warning: posters are in Polish language)
- buy "Gdansk in your pocket" leaflet (5 zl) issued every 4 months
- check events in the web - follow the links below.
Unfortunatelly water in the Baltic Sea is cold most of the summer, 21 - 22 C at the end of August when I was there. But it didn't discouraged a few young folks on the jelitkowo beaxh who were crazy bathing. Warning: there is no lifeguards on this beach. But the sea bed lowers very slowly that makes bathing safer. Swim suit (topless allowed) or bathing shorts.
Sopot is part of the Tri-City and situated about 12 km north of Gdansk. It is a popular seaside resort with about 40.000 inhabitants. Sopot is well known for the longest wooden pier at the Baltic Sea (length 515.5 m). Many trendy cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops are located in and around the main tourist artery Bohaterow Monte Cassino.
Sopot can be reached within 25 minutes from Gdansk. Take one of the northbound commuter trains which leave Gdansk train station almost every 10 mins.
