The Rynek was small, but very colorful, and chock full of people outside the pubs enjoying the warm spring day. Poznan was a very warm, friendly, lively town. Here's a picture of the Ratusz. I was there on a day trip from Wroclaw while I was living there. It was just so nice to walk around town all day and just take in everything with no particular purpose.
Parish Church 1
by johnsakura
Baroque Parish Church (St. Stanislaw Church) is a former Jesuits temple.
Building works started in 1649 (they were conducted by Poncino, Wasowski and Catenazzi), and the consecration took place in 1705.
Contemporary appearance is contribution of Pompeo Ferrari, who in years 1727 - 1937 created for example three most impressive altars, the front portal and the facade.
This church is one of the most precious historic monuments of Poznan.

A kiss on the hand may be quite Continental
by marishabandb
Poznan's men and boys (including small ones), still kiss women's hands. This can be, but isn't necessarily, an integral part of flirting. The dashing young man nuzzling your fingers could just be signalling that he thinks you old and respectable rather than fanciable. (I've passed my learning curve here - I know it's respect!!)
They also hold doors open, light cigarettes, carry bags and generally behave in a way that we are told the English gentleman behaved before the feminists got to him. It is, of course, Poznan's women who ensure their men remain gentlemen, by the scruff of the neck if necessary. Poznan New Man must wash dishes and push the pram, as well as all the foregoing.
The men may flirt outrageously, but the women are just as skilled; in fact, both sexes young and old, consider it an art to be practiced on all social occasions.
Small goats - the symbol of Poznan
by Kuznetsov_Sergey
Another symbol of Poznan settles down in a turret of the Town Hall, where the clock is placed. The small door opens every midday and two small goats appear there from; they butt, collecting crowds of spectators. They butt each other twelve times.
For the first time this wonder appeared in 1651. We did not manage to see this show. However we saw the sculptural image of these small goats on one of the streets. Possibly they symbolize goats of the Town Hall clock.
