Pokoje Integro - Integro Rooms: Hotel alternative
This is another alternative to Szczecin's hotels.
It is not exactly in the city centre but it is pretty close (walking distance).
We have not stayed in this place but I found it on line and I think it is worth mentioning.
From their web site:
"Location allows very convenient communication. It’s the perfect accommodation place either for people on business trips or on a vacation tours.
We give at your disposal 7 rooms with bathrooms in very high standard, keeping in mind as high customer convenience as possible. Each room is comfortably furnished and contains an LCD TV (SAT) and free of charge internet access. Safety is guaranteed by an all time guarded parking.
Our customers can also use a Kitchenette with a refrigerator.
In the vicinity of "Integro Rooms" there is located a caffe and a restaurant Culinary Academy."

Pensjonat Grand: Old Train Station
I havent been to that hotel, but I found it on line and are pleasantly surprised.
This hotel is located in old train station "Szczecin Niebuszewo". I used to take the train to that train station back in days.
There is not much train traffic on that line if any those days.
What a great idea to use magnificent building and save it from deterioration.
The hotel is not exactly in the city centre, but that depends on what are you planning to do in Szczecin.
We walked those streets at night few times and there is always some unemployed youth hanging on the corner and drinking cheap beer.
I don't think I would recommend that to foreigner who is planning to return to his room after darkness, but if you take a taxi than why not?
Nothing ever happened to us when we were walking there (my friend lives few blocks over) but I strictly prohibited my husband from speaking english out loud while passing those drunken guys.
During the day place is perfectly safe, full of kids and people going about their daily life.
There is a tram that stops right next to the hotel, but they don't operate during the night.

Youth Hostel Cuma: Youth Hostel Cuma
This is quite nice hostel, located not far from city centre. You may walk to city on foot. I visited Szczecin in May with a friend and we booked beds in dormitory room but there was not many visitors in a hostel and we had this room for us. Just nice rules in th hostel that they try to feel you comfortable.
Toilets and showers are outside the room but it was clean and renovated. There is also a bih kitchen with some equipement and fridge that you may use. You may find necessary information on the wesite in Polish, English and German.

Hotelik Elka-Sen: Cheerful, Helpful Staff
In-expensive, but clean, with in-suite bathroom and TV. Entrance is by an elevator. Intercom for late entrance through locked gate. I received a large triple for the price of a single. Less than 10 min walk from main train and bus stations. 15-20 min walk to center and sights. From train station, use the foot bridge over the tracks. Al 3 Maja begins past the end. It has a boulevard and tram tracks(further on). Walk 4-6 blocks north. From bus station, walk one north to Dworcowa, left, two blocks to Al 3 Maja, and then left two blocks. The entrance is off ul Bracia Jana i Jedrzeja Sniadeckich. Recommended.
Don't be turned off by the fact this is run by a hotel staff training school. This is a plus. Staff are really conscientious, cheerful and helpful. When I checked out the night before leaving, saying I was leaving before breakfast, they offered to open the breakfast one hour early for me. When I declined they provided a delicious sandwich when I left the next day.
