 | Albufeira Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 49 | | Mary and I didn't stay here, but VT members Carmela71 and Beach Dog did! They came to meet us, driving all the way from Marbella, Spain According to Carmen and Stace the hotel was pleasant enough, but in a very noisy part of town, being adjacent to The Strip, probably the buisiest and noisiest part of Albufeira. Music and singing going on well into the small hours, and so on. As it was hot, windows had to be left open, so you can imagine the noise.
The interior of the hotel looked a little dated, and the barman seemed to fit in well here, LOL! Stace had told us that it seemed to take forever to order a drink, and for it to be served. He wasn't wrong! The patio area at the rear of the hotel, overlooking a pleasant swimming pool, seemed more sheltered from the outside noises. The Natura Sun Club Apartments are used by various package travel companies, ours being First Choice Holidays. We booked a week using our local travel company in town. The price was quite high at over £800 for the two of us, but we didn't want to be bothered with the rigmarole of travelling from Cornwall to London, or even the Midlands for the flight. This flight was from Exeter, 50 miles drive, to Faro. What you lose on the roundabouts, you gain on the swings, I suppose.
We had no actual idea of the location of the Apartments before arriving in Albufeira, but were quite please to overhear someone saying that the apartments seemed to be 'the best so far', as the coach continued on its route, dropping off passengers. And he was probably not far wrong. Se just back from the Avenida Sa Carneiro, Santa Eulalia, to the east of Albufeira, the location was reasonably quiet, except for a couple dogs howling at about 5 am!! Oh, and someone had a Rooster in their garden, LOL! Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Santa Eulalia

As always we seem to leave it until the last minute when booking a holiday and this was no exception. We had booked a studio flat and knew we would be staying in the Algarve but actually where. Upon arrival at Faro airport we reported to the representative to be told that we were being taken to a villa as there were no studio flats available!!! Well you cant complain can you :-) Here it is............
Fantastic private pool, great views, a bathroom each!!!!! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

So here we are in a private villa (it was apparently owned by a german doctor who let it during the summer months). As I said we had only booked a studio apartment but having none available the holiday company put us in this 3 bed/bathroom villa, with its own pool, kitchen, dining room, patio, barbeque and the maid lived in a little cottage adjacent to the villa. As with all late bookings sometimes it can work in your favour where you are put and sometimes people are not so lucky. We on this occasion were very lucky.
Stunning views across to the Atlantic Ocean. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Although we were more than happy and satisfied with our chosen accommodation (we had looked it up on web pages before booking!), it was rather expensive. When we left Exeter, we were sat next to a couple from Falmouth (although we didn't know it at the time), and coincidentally we sat next to them again on the return trip. We got chatting to them and discovered that they had arranged their accommodation through a company in Exeter (whose name excapes me). They had an exclusive villa, with TV and all the things you don't usually get in an apartment, and, what's more, they had the use of a car, FREE, for the whole week! They paid about £200 less than we did, and got a far better deal, so just do shop around before you book. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
