"get outta town!"

Albufeira is highly commercialised and quite pricey. The hotel was basic but the staff were friendly and helpful. I strongly reccommend the jeep safari, we had a driver called Louie, he was fab and spoke very good english. He took us right off the beaten track and up into the mountains the trip included lunch in a hall with as much wine as you could drink, hic...Was rude not too really! Another brilliant trip is the Guardiana river cruise, again food and wine included, o dear...One most definately to be avoided though is the Sagres and Lagos supposedly a culture enlightening trip, it was most definately not, the rep was rude and walked off when trying to speak to her a max of 10 mins spent in each place just enough time to get a few pics before being herded back onto the coach, most disappointing.The trip to loule was good and many a bargain to be found in the market. Watch out for people selling cigarrettes in the markets though, its only the top packets that are genuine the rest are filled with sand!
