Poruguese Language
by Propermark
Being in Portugal Portuguese is the national language of course :-) but it was a surprise for me not understanding much! I could understand what was written on TV or on newspapers but the accent when people speak is difficult to get even by neo-latin languages speakers! Strange but true!
Fishermen's Beach, Albufeira
by SWFC_Fan
Fishermen's Beach was practically deserted in February, apart from a handful of tourists and a number of brightly coloured fishing boats.
The weather was great and you can walk for miles along the coast from there.
Unfortunately, the Atlantic is far too cold to swim in at that time of year!

"Just look at all those tiles"
The trip to Portugal was to take one of our son's on a weeks rest during his University days (break from all the hard studying) so chose somewhere still warm with sunshine in September, and not too far from home.
Our actual base was at Villemoura, but took a trip to Albufeira - well because everyone goes there and we wanted to check it out -
I just had to take this photograph of the building covered with tiles

"Street Scene"
Another view of the street where that lovely tiled building was situated.

"Pretty Square"
This pretty square was a lovely place to sit under the canopied tables and have a cool drink, and watch the world go by.
